Boguard electronic anode
Download HD imageBoguard electronic anode
Boguard is the electronic impressed current anode entirely developed by Emmeti, equipped with self-regulation of the protection potential, which safeguards any exposed defective surfaces against corrosion, as specified by Standard DIN4753, part 3, sect. 4.2.3, up to 100 square centimetres of the internal surface of steel tanks and cylinders lined with plastic resins or glass, up to a capacity of 5000 litres.
Unlike other types of electronic anodes available on the market, Boguard combats corrosive phenomena without producing large amounts of hydrogen in the tank; this gas, in addition to being flammable, if not kept to a minimum may determine the deterioration of certain types of lining inside the tank.
Boguard is supplied standard with new functions making it unique to the market:
- “Booster” function on start-up, which distributes the maximum potential for a limited period so as to speed up the safeguarding of the tank
- Optimal operation status signal
- Excessive tank absorption signal
- Low tank absorption signal, indicating poor electrical contact between the device and activated titanium anode, or water with very low electrical conductivity
- Open electrical circuit signal, for example cable not connected between the device and activated titanium anode
- Short circuit signal between positive and negative pole of activated titanium anode
- Counter of anode operating time in optimal conditions (without errors), expressed in years and months, visible on start-up and non-modifiable
- Detection of electrical leaks and stray currents (in both direct and alternating current) affecting the tank and which may significantly contribute to its internal corrosion. These currents may be small and therefore, while not causing the system's electrical safety devices to trip, may cause significant corrosion phenomena
- Indication of installation errors, for example exchangers with inefficient or missing dielectric unions
A European patent has been deposited for Boguard by way of its unique characteristics.
